Some of his most insidious and practiced liars are on the political panel shows where they are faced with Trump's bald-faced lies and deny these lies with meandering filibuster-like lies of their own, and then claim that democrats lie, too, and that Bill and Hillary Clinton are the biggest liars in American political history, and they bring up Bill's lying about his steamy affair with the intern and Hillary's emails, and when the host brings up the fact that these lies have nothing to do with the lies Trump is spewing on a daily basis, they deny these lies, which means they are lying because they have to know they're protecting their lying boss, but probably realize that well over half the population in America agrees that all politicians lie, because it is part of the game and it is up to the American public to decide who the biggest and most dangerous liars are who threaten the very fabric of the country.
What is characteristic about Trump's lying machine is how bombastic and passionate they become as pundits when the Donald's lies and their lies are challenged, and they rail against the democrats as practicing “partisan politics” when their lies are exposed so blatantly that even the most brazen liar would have trouble defending himself or denying his or her lies.
The spectacle of Sean Spicer, Trump's press secretary, fending off the Donald's lies and his own from the press has become an almost daily farce, so inundating the American public that they must have to spend many hours of many days sorting through these lies, trying to determine which are the worst or perhaps trying to convince themselves that the liars on their side are not really lying or that their lies are, in the end, for the good of the country, so that it doesn't matter if the Trump machine and the Donald and his defenders throughout the country continue their onslaught of lies, and their accusations of the democrats lying, so as to form a smokescreen to fend off their lies, a clever trick that seems to work with the morons who believe all politicians lie, which probably means everybody lies, so that we are essentially a country adapted very firmly and often joyously to the virulent spread of lies on every kind of outlet in the country hour after hour, day after day...
Currently, the most successful lie among Trump and his machine is their repeatedly accusing the media of lying while defending Fox News and all the crackpots on their own right wing shows create outrageous lies that the main liar, Trump, quickly reads and repeats in his tweets, like the one where he accused Obama of wire tapping him in the White House.
Even the dumbest most gullible American knows this is a lie, just like the 35% of Trump's backers believe Obama is an African illegitimate President have to know this is also a lie but choose to believe it because it's Trump's lie, and Trump can do no wrong, can lie and cheat and gloat about it every time he holds a press conference or rally to pump up his lies to the frenzied zealots who believe him.
Right now the republican intelligence boys in the house, led by a liar named Devin Nunes, are working day and night to defend Trump and his liars and lying machine about being in cahoots with the Russians. One of his main liars, a white-maned smoothie named Jeffery Lord, has managed a seat on CNN and has been concocting lies so intricate and complex and delusional and filibuster-like that nobody really knows what he's talking about. When he's asked about the polls showing Trump in decline, he, like other obnoxious Trump pundits, ignores this fact and goes on and on about some distracting democratic sin, growing angry at even the possibility that some enemy might have the gall to call Trump and his machine on their lies, all of which are an orchestrated strategy by Trump's right-hand master liar and Hitler-like propaganda machine, Steve Bannon, who has been perfecting the art of lying for decades and it turned into his own news organization with a staff of writers brilliant at concocting lies so outrageous and venal that Trump's goose-stepping throngs adore and repeat them as they quarrel with protesters at marches and Trump rallies.
These hosts of so-called discussions on the political stations have their hands full dealing with the Trump liars. They smirk and snicker when others make their point and interrupt the fact checkers and responsible journalists and filibuster. They try and go on and on, hoping to hog air time, so that somebody like Anderson Cooper has to unsuccessfully try and stop them, but even he is ignored, and finally there is a commercial and the Trump liar has made his point and scored, shutting out the truth-tellers who are accused of being liars, pleasing his master liar no end, perhaps getting a phone call of thanks later on followed by a twitter accusing the left wing media of being the enemy of the people and spreading lies against the Donald.
Finally, we are so submerged in lies that we lose heart and wonder if there is an honest person left in this world who does not lie, much less a politician. Do countries like Sweden and Germany and Ireland have such liars leading their countries, and have their populations become so used to lying liars that they go on about their business living an illusion?
Anyway, here in America, I wonder if George Washington and Abraham Lincoln would be proud of Americans and their lying President who cannot not tell a lie.
