Trumpcare, or GOP care, whatever you want to call it, tells those of us who are not affluent or rich enough to afford good health care that our lives mean nothing, that our anxiety over health concerns and a failure to see doctors because we cannot afford it is our deserving lot for not being able to cut the mustard financially.
Our lot, therefore, deserves to worry, to suffer, and ultimately die, more or less as slaves to a system to be cocked-up by the puppets of the Koch brothers and all the billionaires whose main concern is stockpiling money and property while condemning those below them to crumbs, just enough to live on, so that life is beyond difficult, but physically, mentally and emotionally near impossible, so that eventually health problems due to neglect, over-work abuse, and drugs to escape this abyss eventually render us too downtrodden to really care whether we live or die.
Those in the poorest areas of all, who voted for the guttersnipe now in the White House, and his swine coordinating with both houses of congress, will become the heedless victims of their treacherous greed grab. Many of them are poor whites in the south and poverty pockets of Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania who shook their placards and American flags in sneering derision at the mention of Obamacare as Trump and his fellow politicians attacked it with blatant lies.
Ill-advised, and ignorant as they are for voting for such a fraud, they do not deserve to worry, to suffer, to die, as they will.
But the real victims, as usual, will be the poorest minorities, the blacks, especially in the south, and most especially in the deep south, where resignation to their increasingly dismal and tragic lot throughout centuries has only increased, where their alienation from what they might imagine goes on among those experiencing the fruits of the country only expands, until oblivion sets in, and they are essentially dwelling in their own grave sites, putting in their time, defeated and hopeless.
But those rock-ribbed republicans will evade the question: “Is health-care a right or a privilege?” They will evade it and exude gobbledygook, which means “by God it is a privilege, you losers, so earn it or suffer and die. This is America, land of opportunity, and there is no room for slackers, and parasites like you, whether you consider yourselves human beings or not, to live off our taxes! Learn to be responsible, and dedicate yourself to hard work, and then you'll be able to afford good medical care, the best doctors, the best medicine, the fruits of 'making it' in America.”
Those imposing this misery on the masses will try and confuse them in their explanation with so-called facts and statistics so illusory and delusional and opaque and downright predatory that they will give up in disgust and exasperation. The GOP will ramrod this hideous bill through congress and Trump will sign it and gloat over his so-called “victory” and claim fulfillment of “Making America Great Again.”
And as it was in the days when those who could not afford health insurance, not even medicare, it will be every man, woman and child for themselves.
So watch the insurance and pharmaceutical corporations and their middlemen cash in. Watch the haze of GOP bullshit and lies and bogus promises suffocate the airwaves, on TV and back in town hall meetings (if there are any), while the new bill will be implemented slowly, quietly, so the most painful and severe suffering doesn't occur until after the 2020 elections, because the real bottom line is that the republicans continue to stay in office and impose these draconian decrees, while the democrats, labeled Nancy Pelosi west coast libs in cahoots with left wing media, flail about in futility. Losers.
Meanwhile, the ailing poor will flock to emergency rooms throughout America, mostly when it's too late to cease the suffering and death that awaits them—their treatment driving up health care costs and overwhelming hospitals. And Trump and the right wing will have their victory, their big team win, will have wiped out what FDR started 85 years ago and Truman, Johnson, Carter, Clinton and Obama tried to continue, will have finally imposed their outdated and mean-spirited economic policies on citizens who do not deserve it.
The military in our country has a code—we do not leave behind our wounded, our bleeding and broken, our dying and dead, we take care of them. Now we have a draft dodging coward of a president who has, along with a cowardly, conscienceless congress, abandoned this code and those who don't count in their orbit, leaving them alone and exposed on a battlefield stocked with explosive mines.
Shame on you.
